RCA Inspiration celebrates the newly-crowned winner of BET’s “Sunday Best” – Melvin Crispell, III – with the release of his new single “Not the End of Your Story” to Gospel radio. Also available via all major digital retailers, the new radio single marks just the beginning of a new journey for the season nine winner of BET’s inspirational singing competition, who received a recording contract with RCA Inspiration. Crispell, who previously delivered a breathtaking debut performance of “Not the End of Your Story” on the show, will release a forthcoming EP in September. The EP album will feature the single and all new music, which will be released by RCA Inspiration in partnership with BET.
Phil Thornton, SVP and General Manager of RCA Inspiration says: “Congratulations to Melvin Crispell, III on winning ‘Sunday Best’! This has truly been a knockout season to watch every week. I am thrilled to welcome Melvin to the RCA Inspiration family, and partner with BET to introduce new music from such a powerful new performer. Can’t wait to share more new music from Melvin with everyone.”
In the run-up to the finale, Melvin Crispell, III, has been an exhilarating new voice and proved to be a formidable force during the season. On “Not the End of Your Story,” Crispell makes a powerful declaration of faith and inspiration to not give up, and trust in God’s plan to provide every need and guidance.
At 21 years old, Melvin Crispell, III, has created a relationship with God that has strengthened him through dealing with early heartbreak, after experiencing untimely losses of his father and mother while he was a teenager. Creating new beginnings on his own path, the young singer from North Carolina is carrying on the mantle sparked by the musical legacy of his late parents, renowned gospel artists Melvin Crispell, Jr. and Tunesha Crispell, and leading others to stay strong to God’s purpose and realize the destiny He has in store for every individual.
